Why Windshield Wiper Fluid is Superior to Water

Keeping a clean windshield is one of the most important factors when it comes to maintaining maximum visibility as a driver. Unfortunately, some people try to replace their windshield wiper fluid with water to avoid spending a few dollars on the right fluid. Here's why this is a bad idea:

Water freezes at a significantly higher temperature than real windshield wiper fluid. Once the water freezes, it will no longer be of any use to you. Real wiper fluid freezes at a temperature much lower than water's 32 degrees Fahrenheit freezing point. This is especially handy information to keep in mind as you navigate the highways during the busy winter holidays.

Water also does not have several important detergents and cleaning solvents that are included in real windshield wiper fluid. These ingredients allow real wiper fluid to do a much better job of cleaning your car's window's than ordinary water.

All of us at Jaguar Houston North would like to discourage Houston, TX drivers from replacing their car's windshield wiper fluid with water.
